here's the grille of a 1960 cadillac deville. 3d coming at you. belongs to this car i posted way back when i started this blog. owned by the guy with the hat there (hi reine).
i hardly ever see it out at the shows, so i took the opportunity to do several angles on it. i have a couple of other shots i should probably work up that would be interesting to show you sometime; just takes time, and i don't have a lot of it lately.
this caddy was sitting in the darker part of the side lots of the garden grove main street show. i bet reine would know what year this puppy is. (hint hint)
so unfortunate, since it was a nice car, with the prerequisite fins i love so much; fortunate that more cars were driving in while i took my exposures, to add a bit of light, pop and flares. its a little scruffier finish than i like to do, but when they hide in the dark, they make a lot of noise.
all right, so it looks impaled by the sign. maybe he'll let me take it again.
still, the car looks pretty good, though it was in the shadow of the building.
i'd never been to the car show at the bob's big boy in downey until the other day. took my nephew and let him use the other camera while i did my usual ground crawl with the tripod. never had so many people ask me if i was taking pics for a magazine or if i sell them, but everyone was so nice! this car was the first i saw when we drove into the lot, and it was one that was specifically asked about just before we were leaving by the owner, who had seen me shooting it earlier.
